Modern Testing Principle 6: Data=Telemetry

We use data extensively to deeply understand customer usage and then close the gaps between product hypotheses and business impact.

Things I’d like to investigate more:

  1. It makes sense to focus on testing the features users use the most. But where do I get this information from?
  2. In ABTesting episode 87 (around the 28 minute mark), Alan Page says the Dev team was finding out about bugs Before they were being reported by testers! All that the testers had to do was to execute the test scripts. The Oracles were in the Backend. How did they achieve that? The answer: Telemetry
  3. What is #telemetry? What is #instrumentation?
  4. How could I implement telemetry in my project?
